This project focused on researching ways to help WashU students discover and join campus organizations, while making it easier for club leaders to recruit and onboard new members.

Problem

Club discovery is fragmented across word-of-mouth, social media, flyers, and an online platform called WUGO. Info is often outdated or incomplete, making it hard for students to compare clubs and take next steps.

Surveys and interviews to understand behavior patterns
Affinity mapping to synthesize pain points + opportunities
Persona and journey mapping for students and leaders
Prototype development and usability tests

Key Insights

Students want a single, easy-to-use hub for all club info
Students want clearer expectations before committing
Students want interest-based filters to find relevant clubs

Outcome

This concept centralizes club info, personalizes discovery, and streamlines onboarding workflows to improve how students find clubs and how leaders engage new members.
